The project scope was to increase the total plant capacity by the addition of two 225Te germination vessels and the associated conveying, electrical and control systems to the existing ‘Redler’ plant.
DVE recently, successfully won a project to increase plant capacity at Soufflet Malt, Burton. The project entailed the design, manufacture and installation of two new 225 Tonne germinating vessels and the associated conveying. The project involved some difficult interfaces with existing equipment, not being able to support new plant off of existing structures and maintaining operator and maintenance access. All equipment in the vessels was manufactured from 304 stainless with provision for good hygiene and lifting facilities a priority. All machines and conveyors were designed, assembled and fully tested in house. The plant is now fully operational and fulfilling the specified process parameters.
