Don Valley Engineering is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to help ensure every product we supply meets the highest standards of quality, customer specification, and regulatory compliance.
Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project teams, you’ll strengthen our quality systems, lead problem‑solving activity, and drive continuous improvement across the business.
Reporting to: QHSE Manager
Base: Sandall Stones Road, Kirk Sandall, Doncaster DN3 1QR and various sites throughout the UK

What You’ll Do:
🔹 Maintain and improve the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ensuring robust processes are followed across the business.
🔹 Plan and conduct internal audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with company procedures and identifying opportunities for improvement.
🔹 Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Projects to ensure quality requirements are understood and met at every stage.
🔹 Lead root cause investigations, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions for non‑conformances and customer concerns.
🔹 Monitor supplier quality performance, working with suppliers to drive improvements and consistency.
🔹 Analyse performance trends and support continuous improvement initiatives across business processes.
🔹 Prepare and present monthly quality performance reports for management review.
🔹 Deliver quality‑focused inductions, toolbox talks, and training, promoting a culture of quality across the workforce.
🔹 Maintain calibration records and schedules, ensuring all equipment is compliant and well‑controlled.
What We’re Looking For:
📌 3–5 years’ experience in a Quality Engineer or Quality-focused role
📌 Background in manufacturing or engineering environments
📌 Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality auditing
📌 Experience with quality tools and techniques such as FMEA and root cause analysis
📌 Understanding of fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes (desirable)
📌 Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
📌 Confident influencer, able to work effectively across all levels of the organisation
📌 Highly organised, self‑motivated, and able to manage competing priorities
📌 Competent IT skills, including Microsoft 365
📌 Full UK driving licence
