1947

Foundation of Don Valley Engineering

Don Valley Engineering was established in Doncaster to provide the repair service to the newly nationalised coal industry. Since then it has diversified and grown to become a major player in the bulk material and malting industries.

1959

First Centrifuge Manufactured

Don Valley Engineering manufactured its first centrifuge, marking a key milestone in its history. This achievement laid the groundwork for the company’s reputation as a trusted provider of reliable and efficient solutions in the bulk material industries.

1998

Acquisition of Qualter Halls Malting Division

The acquisition of Qualter Halls Maltings Division expanded Don Valley Engineering’s expertise into new markets, particularly the maltings sector. This strategic move enabled the company to diversify its capabilities and strengthen its service offerings.

2006

Relocation into Modern Premises

Don Valley Engineering relocated to a purpose-built facility in Doncaster, equipped with manufacturing and assembly capabilities. This move enabled the company to meet increasing demand while upholding its commitment to exceptional quality and reliability.

2007

Formation on Don Valley Construction

Don Valley Construction was established to provide dedicated installation and servicing expertise. This addition allowed the company to offer end-to-end solutions for its clients, further enhancing its value proposition.

2009

Acquisition of Cleeve Materials Handling

The acquisition of Cleeve MH brought specialised expertise in fine material handling to the Don Valley Portfolio. Which gave us the ability to serve a broader range of industries.

2019

Management Buyout

A management buyout in 2019 marked the beginning of a new era for Don Valley Engineering. Led by five members of the management team, this transition ensured the company remained aligned with its long-term goals and client-focused values.
