“Back in 2000, Tarmac selected Don Valley Engineering for the design, manufacture, supply and installation of six Heavy Duty Horizontal Screens. A seventh screen was added in 2004, and all screens are still in operation. The screens were selected based on various criteria, including: reliability; efficiency; construction quality; durability; and the service support of a UK manufacturer with its own team of service engineers.

From commissioning to date the screens have handled in the region of 2 million tons of crushed rock per annum, and they have fully justified their selection by assisting Tarmac in continuously meeting or exceeding production targets. The screens have delivered high performance and reliability, and have been fully supported at all times by Don Valley Engineering.”
